Purpose-built for demolition

Main boom dual-purpose machine designed for maximum utilization

The multi-purpose main boom was developed by KOBELCO to increase the productivity and utilization rate of a single machine. It can be connected to an ultra-long attachment, a separate boom, or a backhoe attachment. By using multiple attachments, one machine can handle a full range of demolition tasks—from high-reach operations to ground-level and foundation work.

The machine can also be disassembled for transport, making it easier to arrange suitable transport vehicles.

On-site adjustable arm length with the ultra-long attachment

This long-reach attachment enables high-altitude demolition to be performed safely from the ground. Each model achieves the highest maximum working height in its class. The arm length can also be shortened by removing the insert boom.

Separate boom specification for efficient demolition of lower floors, basements, and foundations

This specification provides a working range optimized for foundation and lower-level demolition. The boom structure allows the bending angle to be adjusted using the jib cylinder, enabling higher-reach work when extended and closer-range work when bent.

The wide working range allows efficient operations such as demolishing wooden houses and residential foundations, breaking materials into smaller pieces, and removing rubble.

NEXT attachment

NEXT attachment – designed for quick assembly

The main boom and each boom attachment are connected using the NEXT joint system, which features a hook joint on the rear side and two manual pins on the underside, one on each side. The hook joint on the main boom is chamfered to ensure smoother attachment than in previous models. In addition, a pressure relief port has been added to release residual hydraulic oil pressure, making it easier to connect hydraulic hoses and enabling safer, faster assembly and disassembly.

The quick coupler makes piping connections easy.

At the attachment joint, the hydraulic piping is positioned on the side of the boom and can be connected or disconnected using a quick coupler, enabling efficient and safe piping work from the ground.

Crawler width adjustable from the ground

The crawler width extension mechanism allows the lower width to be narrowed for trailer loading. Extension and retraction can be performed while the shoes remain on the ground, and no bolts are required.

Split counterweight designed for easy disassembly and transport

This split-type counterweight can be attached and removed easily when transporting the main unit. The split weight is stored inside the case-type counterweight, allowing it to be removed in a short amount of time.

NEXT Ultra-long attachment specification

The stored height has been reduced, enabling work to be performed from the ground. This improves not only transportability but also the ease of disassembly and assembly.

Engine cooling system “iNDr” – enhanced dustproofing, soundproofing, and maintenance ease

High dust resistance

The iNDr filter effectively blocks dust from entering the machine, preventing radiator clogging and maintaining optimal cooling performance. The filter is designed to resist clogging and overheating, even during prolonged continuous operation.

Excellent maintainability

Daily inspections are simple, requiring only a visual check of the iNDr filter. Cleaning is needed only when the filter is visibly dirty. The filter can be easily removed without tools, reducing staff workload and minimizing time spent on maintenance.

Exceptional quietness

A unique structure dampens and absorbs engine and cooling fan noise within the machine, achieving remarkable quietness. This ensures minimal noise indoors and reduces disturbance to neighbors outdoors, helping to lower operator stress.

Extensive safety features – technology to protect both machines and operators

Tip-over warning device

The system calculates the risk of tipping based on the attachment’s posture and rotation angle. If a hazardous situation is detected, it alerts the operator with an alarm and display. The system distinguishes between vertical and horizontal upper-part positions. When the upper part is vertical, providing greater stability, work can be carried out with a larger operational radius.

Cab interference prevention device

When the attachment approaches the cab within a specified distance, an alarm and display alert the operator, and the machine automatically slows to a gentle stop. This reduces the risk of cab contact, allowing the operator to focus on work even at close range.

Eagle Eye View system

Cameras on the rear, right, and left sides provide a live view displayed on a monitor, allowing the operator to check surroundings and improving overall safety.

Safety-conscious DS cab (optional)

The cab is designed with unobstructed visibility: no beams block the upward view between the front window and skylight, and the cab guard’s vertical grille is angled to maximize sightlines. An optional 30° tilt DS cab enhances visibility for high-altitude demolition work, reducing operator strain during prolonged upward viewing.
