As a major business and employer based in Almere, The Netherlands, Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe B.V. (KCME) is passionate about giving back to the local community. In 2022, KCME hopes to support numerous initiatives in the region, and has recently pledged to sponsor a local sports club.

Sporting Almere is an amateur soccer club established in May 2011. The majority of its members are aged between 6 and 19 years old, although there is also a senior division. The club is run entirely by local volunteers, including KCME’s own Product Manager, Wesley Elverding who is a volunteer soccer trainer. If you visit Sporting Almere’s ground, you won’t be able to miss the huge Kobelco boards surrounding the field!
